OrthoKC was established in 1965, originally practicing at
Bethany Hospital, St. Margaret’s Hospital, and Providence Hospital. In 1976,
St. Margaret’s Hospital and Providence merged, then moved to its present
location. With Bethany Hospital closing in 2002, OrthoKC now works primarily
at Providence Medical Center and The Heart of America Surgery Center.
We have a team of physicians who are specialized in their
respective fields. This means you can be assured that your physician has
extensive training and expertise in his area of specialty. Additionally,
continuing education on new developments and techniques are of utmost
importance to them.
By now, you may know the reason you need to be treated by an Orthopaedist or
Physiatrist. Orthopaedic surgeons care for bones and joints, as well as
nerves, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. A Physiatrist specializes in
diagnosis and rehabilitation of patients with acute or chronic pain and
musculoskeletal disorders.
Some common procedures we perform at OrthoKC are total joint
replacements, rotator cuff repairs, ACL repairs, carpal tunnel surgery, and
of course, treatment of fractures, sprains, wounds, and electrodiagnostic
procedures. Learn more about these procedures on our
helpful links page.
If you have any questions regarding your treatment, don't
hesitate to call us.
